Did you just hear that chorus of angels singing? That was the sound of the Etsy artist behind Pitter Patter Stitches agreeing to give away one of her creations to one lucky reader!
The customized, ribbon-tagged lovey that was made for the Pork Lo Maniac really does help her get to sleep. I'm not promising any miracles, but I can tell you that since she got her lovey, she has not come looking for me at night to tell me that she can't fall asleep. So there you go.
The Pork Lo Maniac is obsessed with all things Asian, so Pitter Patter Stitches designed the lovey, pictured below, just for her. It has the Chinese symbol for "go to sleep" on it! The mommy who makes the loveys is an elementary school teacher, so she has all kinds of awesomesauce ideas.
To enter to win a custom-made ribbon-tagged lovey for your little fidgeter, leave a comment at the end of this post! I'll use a randomizer to select the winner!
That is so great!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a neat concept.
ReplyDeleteWe had a tag blanket a while back for our daughter. She always put the tags in her mouth. She's since outgrown the tag in the mouth issue. FINALLY.
ReplyDeleteGood stuff for anything that helps a kid fall asleep!
ReplyDeleteThat. Is. Awesome!
ReplyDeleteThat's awesome! Totally love the red/black combo.
ReplyDeleteLove it!
ReplyDeleteHow fabulous!
ReplyDeleteI love that these are being made by a teacher.
ReplyDeleteVery cool! I would love one for my 5 year old who only sleeps for 4 hours in a row!
ReplyDeleteThese are all sorts of awesome!!!!
ReplyDeleteOh, that's way better than my daughter using MY hair as her fidget toy when she goes to sleep! And, you've got me saying awesomesauce all.the.time! My kids want to know where I picked that up :)
ReplyDeleteLove it - count me in!
ReplyDeleteMy daughter <3's a lovey. I made her one but the PBK's is WAAAAAY cooler.
ReplyDeleteMcB
My boy would like one of those.
ReplyDeleteThis is a neat product:)
ReplyDeleteOooh, the hard part would be figuring out who gets the lovey! There would be steep competition at my house.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE this! I would have been googoo for this as a kid myself! I remember rubbing the satin part of my blankie on my ear to soothe myself to sleep :)
ReplyDeletetotally covered in awesomesauce
ReplyDeleteWe need that at our school!
ReplyDeleteWe recently started medicating my son so he sleeps. Our doc says I was suffering from exhaustion.. ya think... Boy sleeps 2-3 hours a night.
ReplyDeleteI don't know what I love most about this - made by a teacher, appropriate for all ages (aka not baby'ish), fidget friendly, mom stamp of approval... awesome and then some!
ReplyDeleteMy 2 year old LOVES his taggie, adores it and rubs it on his nose all the time.....my 6 year old won't go to sleep on his own and a really cool custom taggie might do the trick, ya never know!
ReplyDeleteThis is amazing! I would love to spare my little one's hair which is her fidget of choice!
ReplyDeleteYou are BRILLIANT! I just dragged out a crib sized taggie blanket that has been packed away for years. After a brief scuffle between the two ADHD kids over it (should have seen that coming), the younger one is wrapped in it and out like a light. Going to etsy right now to add to the collection....thank you!!!
ReplyDeleteI don't want to be entered to win, but I just wanted to say, this is a wonderful giveaway and I hope some family will have easier nights because of it.
ReplyDeleteI would love one of these for my nephew :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a neat idea!! My Aspie is 9, but falling asleep is still a struggle...you can put him to bed, but you can't make him sleep. :) Never know...we are willing to try anything!
ReplyDeleteI would love to win! My 6 yr old has classic autism, and every night is a struggle!
ReplyDeleteI would like one, they are so cute :)
ReplyDeleteHmmm.. I'm thinking my little fidgeter might like this. He often complains of not being able to sleep. And his older brother, my Aspie, diagnosed him as ADHD.. hehehe
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea! My son is a little fidgeter and a squirmer! LOL This would be great to try!
ReplyDeleteI think my grandson would love this! He even likes the whole 'asian' theme as well! Perfect!
ReplyDeletePerfect for my little one...and I love the idea that it was created by a elementary school teacher! How clever! Elias is ALWAYS messing with tags. Tags on the ends of his blankies, tags on his shirts, tags on MY shirts..LOL This is a must have for him!!! Please pick me ;)
ReplyDeleteOoo, pick me!
ReplyDeleteThis beats the current "let's chew on the neck of my stretched out t-shirt" any day.
ReplyDeleteOoo I hope you pick me Please! I need one for my sensory child. This will save me from having to make it myself, Like those weighted blankets i made last week..
ReplyDeleteOh my - how lovely!
ReplyDeleteMy 6 yr old DS would so love this (he loves red, too). His faithful "best friend" Blankie - even though not allowed to leave his room except for special occasions - is losing the battle of the fingers. The holes are getting so much bigger and harder for me to fix in any meaningful way. Blankie will be sorely missed when she goes; especially missed by us parents because she gives such security and peace to our little firecracker. I hope whoever wins this lovely lovey has years of finger delight.
Beautiful idea!
ReplyDeleteSleep solution? Yes, please!
ReplyDeleteThis is a very cool, non-baby looking lovey.

Our little bundle of energy could definitely use some help getting to sleep!
ReplyDeleteWe just got her a weighted blanket (which seems to help a LOT), but it's not satisfying her need to fidget :-)

I'm thinking it's also good for homework time - for keeping my DS sitting in his chair and concentrating on the schoolwork!
ReplyDeleteOh! I bet my son would do *really* well with one of these!
ReplyDeleteThat rocks. Can she do star wars or Pokemon? Because! NECESSARY.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea!
ReplyDeleteI have two kids that could definitely use that!
ReplyDeleteWow, awesome.
ReplyDeleteThat's great!
ReplyDeleteI've been trying (unsuccessfully, so far) to find something for my 8 month old to use as a lovey/fidget. He is currently scratching my collarbone as a fidget while he nurses, and IT HURTS.
Great idea! I would love one for DS!
ReplyDeleteSo Cool!
ReplyDeleteI would love one for myself..haha. Very cool
ReplyDeleteThat is awesome!! I would really love to get rid of his very bedraggled looking PBK stroller blankets, and one of these might do the trick!
ReplyDeleteI'm in!
ReplyDeleteI love your blog. My sister passed it along to me and I am so impressed with the style, your flair for writing, etc. I love the descriptions of your children. I relate so much to you as I have an interesting family dynamic. Keep up what you do!
ReplyDeleteSo great!
ReplyDeleteI have a little one who would love love love to have one. Then again, I'm thinking I might need one!
ReplyDeleteJust woke up in my son's room after trying to get him to sleep there last night. Entire body is stiff & sore.
ReplyDeleteSign me up for one, please. Thanks for hosting the giveaway!
In case you're curious, the symbol is "an" and stands for peace, peaceful, or to pacify.
ReplyDeleteThat is super awesome!
ReplyDeleteI think I'd like to have one for myself, but I think The Boy would like one too :o)
Cool! pick me pick me!!
