The 12 Days of Awesome is wrapping up!
Remember when I said that ThinkGeek was going to surprise me with its giveaway for the 12 Days of Awesome?
Oh. Mah. Gawd.
ThinkGeek sent a Battle of Endor LEGO Star Wars set, which comes with 12 minifigures and is valued at $99.99. It is a set of awesomeness, basically.
If you have a little (or big) Jedi in your life who needs 890 pieces of fun, leave a comment on this post to enter to win this set. This is a great set because, really, you just never know when the knowledge of how to build a catapult is going to come in handy. That could turn out to be a critical skill one day.
This set has small parts and is not safe for children under three. It is intended for ages 9 and up, but I can tell you that my four-year-old son covets this set, particularly for the 12 minifigs. Obviously I have not let Little Dude see this thing. Otherwise there is simply no way I'd be able to get it out of the house. I mean, it comes with Wicket. Really. (Um, yeah, Wicket is the little furry teddy bear looking guy with the red hoodie. And yes, I am a geek.) For the full description of this set, please see ThinkGeek's website.
ThinkGeek is seriously full of the awesome. If you're still trying to figure out what to get someone for the holidays, head straight there. And don't forget that not all the stuff your kid might like is in the Geek Kids section. LEGO lamps and clocks are in the "Home and Office" section, for example. Likewise, there's all kinds of fun for grown-ups in the Kids' section.

Let me be the first (and thusly unlikely to be the randomly drawn winner) to say, thanks for 12 days of awesome and this especially. I would have a hard time deciding who to give this to!!!!
ReplyDeleteThinkGeek is hilarious! I don't know how we got on the mailing list but we just got our first catalog yesterday and my husband and I spent a while looking at every page. So fun.
ReplyDeleteOh. Em. Gee. I have three boys, and My youngest has Asperger's. So I do, indeed, realize how ahhhhsome this set is.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, this is awesome!
ReplyDeleteOh wow, this is truly awesome. I would, I mean my SON would have tons of fun with this!
ReplyDeleteOMG! Our aspy daughter is Lego Star Wars nut as well and gets angry when the stores only have Clone Wars legos. I will have to remember the ThinkGeek site for her upcoming birthday!
ReplyDeleteTruly an awesome set! Thanks!
This would be a perfect present for my brother who is definitely a wanna-be aspie
ReplyDeleteThis one is MINE! My son put this on his wish list -- because he knew I'd love it. Geek much? :)
ReplyDeletewow. my oldest had this at the top of his Hankkah list and we couldn't get it for him ($$$) Lego Star Wars on the Wii is his "escape" from his little brothers and he would love love this! I'll have to check out ThinkGeek too for next time.
ReplyDeleteMy god! my oldest would love this!!!
ReplyDeleteI don't just think--I know--we are a family of geeks.
ReplyDeleteWow. That is a truly awesome Lego set. I have three boys, and while they are mostly a little too young to appreciate this (1 month, 20 months, and just shy of 4 years), the oldest could play with it while the other two slept. And I would definitely have to supervise. Yay! \o/
ReplyDeleteI can remember the sad feeling of the first Christmas that I was "too old" to get Legos. I made my little brother share his.
Sweet! This would be a perfect XMas gift!
ReplyDeleteMy son would Love this. Legos are his favorite!
ReplyDeleteWe NEED this. NEED I tell you!!!!
ReplyDeleteHoly awesome ! Pick ME!
ReplyDeleteWant it!! Live it!!! I think my husband would drool over this
ReplyDeletePlease...please...Pulhease?
ReplyDeleteOh no! This would be the one morning where DS comes and looks over my shoulder while I'm reading the blog. Think Geek is amazing!
ReplyDeleteI NEED this. It would make Christmas for my husband EPIC!
ReplyDeleteThe lego geek in me needs this. Also, I'm about to head into surgery, so I'm playing the pity card.
ReplyDeleteInterstellar awesomeness! I almost forgot to comment because I drifted off into Mommy-Daydreamland thinking of how many hours this would keep boys & daddy out of my hair...I mean, contently occupied while I get a few minutes to breathe.
ReplyDeleteWow. That's all I can say -- wow.
ReplyDeleteOhhhhhhhh! Wow. ThinkGeek + your blog = The Best. Love this giveaway. My Asperger son would absolutely faint if he won this. Only downside would be enforcing the already practically unenforceable "no toys at the dinner table" rule...
ReplyDeleteGo geeeeeeeeeeks!
ReplyDeleteMy 11 year old would FREAK out over this set. He is a Star Wars fan and a lego fan and he LOVES the min figs.
ReplyDeleteWow. That set is ah-maz-ing!
ReplyDeleteThinkGeek rocks! And so do you! I would totally score some cool points with my 9 year old (and my husband!) if we won!
ReplyDeleteMy nephew would LOVE this set.
ReplyDeleteOmg, omg, omg! Have to have this!!!!! I would be the most awesome Santa evah!
ReplyDeleteMy son would be so excited. So would my husband!
ReplyDeleteNice!
ReplyDeletewow! my two boys would kill each other over this! LOL
ReplyDeletePick me! Pick me!
ReplyDeleteThis looks amazing. My son would freak.
Lego makes such great sets. I mean, Frank Lloyd Wright's Falling Water, the Taj Mahal, and Wicket and other Star Wars friends all from the same company. How excellent is that?!
ReplyDeleteIn other news, I ran across a set of feelings flashcards in Uncommon Goods, and thought you might be interested to know about them, if you don't already. (http://www.uncommongoods.com/product/feelings-flashcards)
Love your blog....
I don't know who would love this more, my husband, or my son! Thanks for the 12 days of awesome!
ReplyDeleteIf I won this I might actually think of sending it to Little Dude, but hey- my boys may love it too!
ReplyDeleteWow! This is an amazing donation from ThinkGeek! I just spent last night in the pediatric urgent care with my youngest for two hours. Thank god for a Star Wars Saga poster with all the characters from every movie. I was tested and did okay. But I didn't know who was Mace Windu's paduwan or who he was a paduwan of. So much to learn! Just gave my son the Lego set, "Luke's Speedracer" last night for Hanukkah and it was a big hit. But this set from ThinkGeek is the bomb!
ReplyDeleteOh.Em.Gee.
ReplyDeleteI need this! Pick me, pick me, pick me :D
Awesome!
ReplyDeleteI love ThinkGeek! I think my husband and two oldest would fight over this set
ReplyDeleteJedis and Ewoks and clones, Oh my!
ReplyDeleteWe couldn't wait till the kiddo was old enough to sit through our collection of Star Wars movies. Now that he's nearly 11, he's addicted to them and the Lego's!
This is a fabulous gift. Thanks ThinkGeek!
ReplyDeleteawesome!
ReplyDeleteI am a HUGE ThinkGeek fan - one of my fave places to do shopping (for myself and others)and I've been drooling over the Endor set!!! But not nearly as much as DH who has ordered me not to spend 'any significant amt' of money on him for Christmas. If I won a set - I could get him something he'd love & not break his 'decree'!!!
ReplyDelete-Bethany

ReplyDeleteGreat blog and Great giveaway! Keep up the great work!
ReplyDeleteHeather

ReplyDeleteDefinitely awesome! My nephew would think I was the coolest person in the world if I gave it to him.
ReplyDeleteDo we have to let the kids play with it? :)
ReplyDeleteOMB! My son would so love this, and I can just imagine my joy at stepping on every one of those 890 pieces of geektastic awesomeness in the middle of the night! Pick me, pick me!
ReplyDeleteMy 10-year-old just spent most of an evening poring over the ThinkGeek catalog. He (and my 40-year-old geek) would LOOOOOVE this!
ReplyDeleteDo I have to share it with my boys?

ReplyDeleteI'm not sure who was freaking out more when I saw this, me or my six year old sitting next to me!! Way cool!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome giveaway! My son & I spent 2 hrs the other night going through ThinkGeek's website, loving everything on there. He would love to have this!
ReplyDeleteThis should be mine! I LIVE in crescent city ca...also known as endor! I totally need this!
ReplyDeleteMy 6 year old son would love this! He plays LEGO Star Wars non-stop and knows every character and plot line. He has drooled over this set from the first time he saw it! Awesome give away!
ReplyDeleteThere is a desparate need for this in my home!
ReplyDeleteAwesome! Lego's rock! My son is a "jedi master" when it comes to legos. ThinkGeek rocks too!
ReplyDeleteI didn't comment for any of the other giveaways, figuring other people wanted them more than me. No one wants an Ewok more than me, I promise. If I can't have a real one (which I haven't accepted as true), Lego will make up the difference (until I can find Wicket).
ReplyDeleteMy almost 8 year old would be in absolute heaven. Everything is star wars. Thats all he wants is star wars anything! I have never heard of the website i will have to check it out!
ReplyDeleteThat is awesome!!!!!
ReplyDeleteLegos plus Star Wars is just one of those oh-so-perfect combinations. Classic Star Wars Legos are the best of the best! My son would love to get this.

Wow. I would be "mom of the year" if my son got this!
ReplyDeleteSo much freakin' awesomeness!

ReplyDeleteJust plain awesome.
ReplyDeleteOmigawd - my son would possibly implode if he saw this! He loves LEGO Star Wars, and one of his favorite characters to play is the ewoks! Why? Because, according to him, their thrown weapon looks a lot like they're throwing poop. I have to be honest, after he said that...it kinda does. Actually, I think he and Daddy might *both* implode if I won this. And ten bucks says the sister, who invented "tauntaun soup", would probably steal half the figures so they can go fight monsters with her princesses. Battle of Endor Versus the Bionicles and the Princesses would be EPIC. I bet Maleficent would show.
