This is both creepy and hilarious. It's creeplarious. Pointy hat WIN.
If this kid comes to my house, he's getting extra candy for the sheer awesomeness. Also, the parent escorting him will get a beer, because if you can get a toddler to wear a wig and full-face face paint, you win. Not Having Sensory Processing Disorder WIN.
Because, obviously. Rebel Alliance WIN.
This is like some kind of ironic knock-off of the classic sheet-with-eye-holes-cut-out costume. When you can't even be bothered to find an old sheet and a pair of scissors, this is the costume for you. Optional: Play up the irony by adding Buddy Holly glasses and a fake mustache. Now you're a hipster! Either way, it's a total slap in the face to Martha Stewart. Which makes it a WIN. Flipping the bird to craft magazines WIN.
Hands-down the best dog costume I've ever seen. You know you have an awesome guard dog when he can guard the gates to hell. Greek mythology WIN.
Everything is better with bacon. Breakfast, salads, and now even your Halloween party. Artery-clogging WIN.
The Green Man costume is a win because most people won't get that you're making a hip reference to the show "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia." They will either think you bought a defective "Blue Man Group" costume, or that you're just really into showing off your junk. Making people uncomfortable WIN.
Note, this costume is only a win if you pose for a minimum of 12 pictures in the "crane" pose. 80s flashback WIN. Want more Ralph Macchio win? Check out this hilarious mockumentary: Wax On, F*ck Off with Ralph Macchio.

OK, so I totally got the garden gnome costumes for my kids. It comes in both boy and girl versions, you know! :)
ReplyDeleteThose are pretty cute!! I love the gnome!
ReplyDelete@Courtney -- DOUBLE WIN.

ReplyDeleteThe bacon is the best!
ReplyDeleteOMG, I totally wish my son hadn't seen the Buzz Lightyear costume before I saw the gnome one. That is all kinds of AWESOME. With my husband, the bacon costume could actually double as lingerie. Not revealing (at all) & probably pretty awkward to wear, but what can I say, he loves bacon.
ReplyDeleteMy kid had an operation for hydrocephalus just before Hallow'een last year. We were totally going to play up the scar on his head by having him as baby Frankenstein but, alas, his darn check up got in the way! Darn it!
ReplyDeleteThis year I'm thinking Klingon forehead but I'm not quite sure how to get him to keep it on his head. Copious mini Reese's peanut butter cups, maybe...
The toddler gnome is definitely creepy awesome!
ReplyDeleteAnd hats off to Jessica Alba for making her Dora costume less skanky than the actual cartoon.
Oh how I wish I had a small dog, just so I could dress it up in the three headed dog costume!
ReplyDeleteOne year I had a 7 year old girl dressed as Gene Simmons. She ended up with half of my bowl of candy. :)
ReplyDelete@Sarah -- I know, Jessica Alba's t-shirt covers her entire (flat) belly.
ReplyDeleteLMAO!!! Especially the green man! Always Sunny WIN! ;-) The description of the ghost made me laugh the hardest. Love it!
ReplyDeleteHahaha! These are great!
ReplyDeleteLove the WIN costumes soooo much more!! The dog one made me laugh the Princess Leia & Spock ears made me smile and the bacon made me think about the elusive bacon vodka that is somewhere out there in this world and calling my name! :>
ReplyDeleteI love alba as dora. that is super cute.
ReplyDeleteThe best one that I saw was a Smurf outfit for kids- they even have a little toddler Gargamel!
ReplyDeleteSo cute.
As it is my four girls all wanted to be bugs (not skanky ones, though it wasn't easy to find for my oldest) a ladybug, two butterflies, & a a bee.
This is awesome! I very much wanted to share this and a few other posts with Facebookland or even e-mail, but the sharing links all revert to an error page =(
ReplyDeleteI like the dog costume the best! Gnomes freak me out for some odd reason and the bacon is good as well.
ReplyDeleteI totally WANT those pointy ears!!!
ReplyDeleteSo insanely glad that, even though I'm a huge **HUGE** fairy person, I'm not the only one who thought Spock ears when they saw the pointy ears! ROFL
ReplyDeleteLOVE these costumes! I dressed up as Leia when I was 19, and carried my teddy bear dressed up as an Ewok with me that year. ;)
About a month ago, I got the toddler garden gnome costume for my (almost) 2 year old. I have been trying to get the hat (with the eyebrows and beard attached) on him at least twice a week, practicing for the big day. We have had ZERO success. He is deffffinitely having some sensory issues with those eyebrows and the beard!
